ZAYMAX is a local workout app for planning, completing and recording your training. No account is required.
Find help and contact options at zaymax.net. For questions, problems or feedback, you can also email:

For technical issues, include your ZAYMAX version/build, iPhone model, iOS version, app language and the last steps before the issue. Please do not email sensitive health data or complete backup files.
The workout edition has no in-app reporting dialog and sends no automatic error reports. You choose which details to share.
The revised workout edition focuses on Today and Journal. It has no Health or Steps tab, requests no Health permission and does not read or write Apple Health data. Manually entered profile values and the local BMI remain available independently.
This change is delivered through an app update. Older App Store or TestFlight versions already installed may still contain the previous Health or Steps features. This guide does not mean your installed version has already received the change.
You can review and revoke previous permissions for ZAYMAX in the Health app or iOS privacy settings. Removing the integration does not delete data from Apple Health.
Under Settings → Training → Rest timer, you can turn the rest timer on or off and choose the rest duration. Under Sounds & haptics, adjust App sounds, the Sound theme and Haptic feedback; haptics can be switched independently of sounds. Use Advanced to turn individual sound events on or off.
For rest-complete sounds while your iPhone is locked, enable Also while the screen is locked and allow notifications. If no sound plays, also check App sounds, the Rest complete sound event, volume, Silent mode, Focus and iOS Settings → Notifications → ZAYMAX. Rest reminders are scheduled locally on the iPhone.
Select a note in Journal with Show in Lock Screen widget. Then press and hold the iPhone Lock Screen, choose Customize, open the widget area and add the ZAYMAX note widget. If it is missing, open the app once and restart the iPhone. Remove the Lock Screen selection in ZAYMAX when you no longer want the note in the widget. Avoid confidential text because widget content can be visible on the Lock Screen.
Choose Settings → Save backup and save the JSON file outside ZAYMAX through the iOS share sheet. Verify the file before deleting or reinstalling the app. To restore, choose Settings → Load backup, select your ZAYMAX JSON file and confirm the replacement of your current local data. The backup is not encrypted and may contain personal workout, journal, profile and settings data. Without a backup, the developer cannot recover locally deleted data.
Cleanup in the app update that has not yet been released: The internal export file is created temporarily in the app’s cache, with the internal documents area used as a fallback. That exact file is removed after the sharing operation, including when sharing is cancelled or fails. If cleanup fails, the app does not report a successful export. Copies you save or share outside the app remain available.
When you use Load backup, the file picker creates a temporary copy in the app’s internal DocumentPicker cache subfolder. In the same unreleased update, that exact copy is removed immediately after reading and checking its contents, including if an error occurs. If this file cleanup fails, loading is not treated as successful. The original backup file you selected remains unchanged.
You can delete individual items in the app. Settings → Delete all local data removes the workout, profile, journal and settings data managed by ZAYMAX, along with the selected widget note.
In the app update that has not yet been released, this function also removes internal backup files whose names exactly match ZAYMAX’s backup naming pattern, including older exports. It also removes old import copies or copies left after a crash directly in the DocumentPicker cache subfolder whose names exactly match the file picker’s UUID naming pattern. It does not descend into further subfolders or clear the entire cache. If this file cleanup fails, no successful deletion is shown; internal backup files may still remain.
On older versions without this cleanup, internal export and import copies can remain after sharing, loading or using Delete all local data, including after a cancelled or failed operation. Cleanup requires the corresponding app update. Deleting the app removes its local file area.
Backup copies you save or share outside the app and shared workout images are not deleted by internal cleanup. Those files and device or cloud backups must be managed and deleted separately at their storage location or through the relevant provider.
