Protecting your data matters to us. ZAYMAX is designed to work without an account and without developer-operated servers. Personal app data is generally processed locally on your iPhone.

Using ZAYMAX does not require registration or an account. ZAYMAX does not operate its own cloud database for user, workout or health data.
Information entered in the app is processed on your device and kept in local app storage. The developer does not receive this data. Information is shared with a service you choose only when you start an export or share function yourself and select a destination in the iOS share sheet.
Depending on your personal iCloud or device-backup settings, iOS may process local app data as part of an Apple device backup. Apple carries out this processing under its own terms; ZAYMAX does not control it.
Depending on how you use the app, the following information in particular may be stored locally:
This data is used only to provide the functions you choose within ZAYMAX.
You can voluntarily enter your weight, height and date of birth. Onboarding can be skipped; these details are not required for basic use and can be changed or deleted later.
Weight and height are used only on your device to calculate and display the body mass index (BMI). Your date of birth is used locally to calculate your age and display an in-app greeting on your birthday.
BMI and its presentation are general guides only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
The revised workout edition has no Apple Health/HealthKit integration. It does not request Health permission or read or write data in Apple Health. Manually entered profile values and the local BMI remain available independently of this change.
Older installations: If your installed version still has a Steps or Health tab, it may continue to read and display locally the Health categories requested by that version after you voluntarily grant access. You can see which categories are permitted in the Health app under ZAYMAX’s access permissions. This data is not sent to the developer or used for advertising; ZAYMAX does not write workout or measurement data to Apple Health.
You can revoke previous access permissions at any time in the Health app or the iOS privacy settings for ZAYMAX. Removing the integration from ZAYMAX does not delete any data in Apple Health. When older backups are imported, retired local Health-connection markers are not reactivated.
Apple processes Health data as part of its own system services and under its own privacy terms.
When you select a note for the Lock Screen, ZAYMAX stores the selected note text and a localized message for the empty state locally in a shared iOS App Group. This App Group is used only to allow the ZAYMAX app and its widget extension to display the same selected note. The information is not sent to the developer or a ZAYMAX server.
If you enable rest-end sounds while the screen is locked and allow notifications, ZAYMAX schedules the rest reminder locally through iOS. It uses the end time and a local session identifier, which are not sent to a ZAYMAX server. ZAYMAX does not send remote push notifications. Sounds, individual sound events, the rest timer and haptics can be adjusted or turned off in the app settings. Device volume, Silent Mode, Focus and notification permissions may affect playback.
Older versions may also include local note notifications; the selected note text may appear on the Lock Screen or in Notification Center. You can change or disable notifications and their previews at any time under iOS Settings → Notifications → ZAYMAX. Remove the Lock Screen selection in ZAYMAX if you no longer want the note to appear in the widget.
Please be aware that anyone with access to your Lock Screen may be able to read the text shown there.
You can request a local backup yourself in Settings. Only after this deliberate action does ZAYMAX create a JSON file containing the local app data intended for backup and open the iOS share sheet.
With the app update that has not yet been released, the export file is created temporarily in the app’s cache; if the cache is unavailable, the internal documents area is used. After the sharing operation, that exact internal export file is removed, including when sharing is cancelled or fails. If cleanup fails, the app does not report the operation as successful. Copies you save or share outside the app are not deleted by this cleanup. Section 12 explains the behavior of older installations.
The JSON file is not encrypted and may contain personal workout, journal, profile and settings data. Keep it secure and share it only with trusted destinations.
You decide whether the file is shared and which destination you select, such as the Files app, iCloud Drive or another service. ZAYMAX does not transfer the backup automatically, and the developer does not receive a copy. Any processing by the selected destination is governed by that provider’s privacy terms.
To restore a backup, you select a previously created JSON file yourself. Its contents are read locally into ZAYMAX. Restoring a backup may replace the local data currently stored in ZAYMAX.
When loading a backup, the file picker creates a temporary internal copy in the app’s DocumentPicker cache subfolder. In the app update that has not yet been released, that exact copy is removed immediately after reading and checking its contents, including if an error occurs. If this file cleanup fails, loading is not treated as successful. The original backup file you selected remains unchanged.
After a workout, ZAYMAX can generate a summary image on your device containing information about the session. The app opens the iOS share sheet only when you use the share function. You then decide whether the image is shared and with which app or person. ZAYMAX does not upload it automatically, and the developer does not receive a copy.
Services such as Instagram, WhatsApp, iCloud Drive or other destinations you choose apply their own privacy terms.
ZAYMAX uses no analytics or tracking services, creates no advertising profiles and contains no advertising or advertising networks. Health or fitness data is never used for advertising or marketing.
ZAYMAX currently offers no in-app purchases or paid subscriptions.
Depending on the function you use, ZAYMAX uses the following system functions or optional permissions:
ZAYMAX does not require access to your location, contacts, camera or microphone. The app does not independently access your photo library to generate a workout image.
The workout edition does not request Apple Health access. Section 5 applies to older installed versions. Selecting an alternative app icon changes only the appearance on your device and does not require personal data to be sent to the developer.
The developer does not receive locally processed app data and therefore does not disclose it to third parties. ZAYMAX does not integrate analytics, advertising or tracking providers. The workout edition has no in-app reporting dialog and does not create or send automatic error reports.
When you select an external service yourself in the iOS share sheet, you initiate the sharing. The selected provider processes the file or image under its own terms.
Contact information and help are available through zaymax.net and the support page. A connection to a website’s provider is established only when you open that website. ZAYMAX does not attach local workout, journal or profile data to the website link. Visits to zaymax.net and the contact methods offered there are governed by that website’s privacy notice; section 14 also applies to this GitHub Pages site.
If you contact support yourself, only the information you send and the technically necessary contact or email data are processed to handle your request. This information is deleted when it is no longer needed, unless legal obligations require otherwise. You decide which information to provide. Please do not send confidential profile or health data or complete backup files.
Local data generally remains stored until you delete individual content, all local data or the app. Settings → Delete all local data lets you remove the workout, profile, journal and settings data managed by ZAYMAX, as well as the selected widget note.
With the app update that has not yet been released, Delete all local data also cleans up internal backup files whose names exactly match ZAYMAX’s backup naming pattern, including older exports. It also covers old import copies or copies left after a crash directly in the DocumentPicker cache subfolder whose names exactly match the file picker’s UUID naming pattern. Cleanup does not descend into further subfolders or clear the entire cache. If this file cleanup fails, the app does not show a successful deletion; internal backup files may still remain.
Older versions without this cleanup: Internal export and import copies may remain after sharing, loading or using Delete all local data, including after a cancelled or failed operation. The change described here requires the corresponding app update. Deleting the app removes its local file area.
Backup copies you save or share outside the app and shared workout images are not deleted by internal cleanup. Those files, as well as device or cloud backups, must be managed and deleted separately at their respective locations or through the relevant provider. As there is no account or server-side ZAYMAX storage, the developer cannot restore a local copy for you or delete it on a server.
Create a backup before deleting or reinstalling the app if you want to keep your data.
You can revoke optional permissions in iOS at any time and delete local content in the app. As the developer does not maintain user accounts or store the described content on its own servers, the developer generally does not hold corresponding personal app data that could be provided, corrected or deleted.

This public privacy and support website is hosted through GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc. When you visit it, GitHub may process technical access information such as your IP address, the time, and browser and device information in server logs.
